한인 희곡작가 킴버 리(Kimber Lee)씨가 제 45회 수잔스미스블랙번상(Susan Smith Blackburn Prize) 최종 후보 10인에 올랐다. 여성 희곡작가들을 대상으로 시상하는 올 수잔스미스블랙번상은 세계에서 약 190편 이상의 희곡이 접수됐다. 최종 후보 10인은 Anupama Chandrasekhar, Maryam Hamidi, Karen Hartman, Katie Holly, and Kimber Lee. 킴버 리는 한국에서 태어나 아이다호주에서 성장했다. 텍사스대에서 석사학위를 받았으며, PoNY(Playwrights of New York) 펠로쉽, 하트포드스테이지의 애트나뉴보이스 펠로쉽을 거쳤다. 2019년 라호야 플레이하우스(샌디에고)에서 'Untitled F*ck M*ss S**gon Play'이 공연됐다. 'Saturday'로 블랙번상 후보에 지명됐다. 

1978년 유방암으로 사망한 스미스대 출신 수잔 스미스 블랙번(1935-1977)의 이름을 따 제정된 이 상은 세계의 영어권 희곡작가들을 대상으로 한다. 2010년 한인 작가 줄리아 조(Julia Cho)가 '언어 보관소(The Language Archive)'로 수상했으며, 올 심사위원이기도 하다. 수상자는 오는 3월 27일 뉴욕의 플레이라이트 호라이존에서 열리는 46주년 기념식에서 발표된다. 상금 2만5천달러.
