Han Sol Jung's 'WOLF PLAY'

한인 희곡작가 정한솔(Hansol Jung)의 '늑대 놀이(Wold Play)'가 1월 27일부터 3월 19일까지 오프브로드웨이 MCC Theater (Manhattan Class Company)에서 공연된다. 

'늑대 놀이'는 프로로 데뷔를 앞둔 왼손잡이 권투선수의 부인이 한인 소년 입양서류에 서명한 후 아기가 생기자 소년을 레즈비언 커플에게 맡기게 되면서 벌어지는 이야기다. 연출은 로사 조쉬(Rosa Joshi)가 맡았다.

'늑대 놀이'는 2019년 3월 포틀랜드의 Artists Repertory Theatre에서 초연됐다. 뉴욕 공연에 이어 5월 6일부터 21일까지는 샌프란시스코 A.C.T. 스트랜드시어터에서 무대에 올려진다. 

정한솔씨는 전주에서 태어나 뉴욕대 교환학생을 거쳐 펜실베니아주립대에서 뮤지컬 연출을 전공한 후 예일대 드라마스쿨에 편입해 석사학위를 받았다. 뮤지컬 '스패멀롯' '25회 푸트넘카운티 철자법 경시대회' '에비타' 등 뮤지컬을 한국어로 번역했다. 

뉴욕시어터워크숍 펠로쉽을 받았으며, 프린스턴대 펠로우를 지냈다. 2018년 뉴욕 퍼블릭시어터에서 그의 희곡 'Wild Goose Dreams'이 공연됐다. 같은 해 신인 작가에게 주어지는 화이팅상(Whiting Award)을 받았다.
