브로드웨이 뮤지컬 'K팝(KPop)' 주간(11/14-21) 12만7천 달러 흥행

오리지널 뮤지컬 'K팝(KPOP)' 브로드웨이 상륙 

11월 27일 브로드웨이 서클인더스퀘어 공식 오프닝

브로드웨이 뮤지컬 'KPOP'이 11월 14일부터 21일까지 한주 동안 12만7천 262달러의 입장료 수입을 거두었다. 

 

브로드웨이 월드에 따르면, '이 기간 KPOP'의 관람객수는 총 4천122명으로 서클 인더 스퀘어(Circle in the Square, 객석 776석)의 1주간 총 객석(4,122석 중 티켓판매 3,889석)중 점유율은 94.35%를 기록했다. 객석 점유율은 '팬텀 오브 오페라(The Phantom of the Opera)'의 101.36%, '라이온킹(The Lion King)'의 99.09%,  'MJ 뮤지컬(MJ The Musical)'의 98.6%,  '퍼니걸(Funny Girl)'의 97.68%, &줄리엣(& Juliet)'의 98.36%, '물랑 루즈(Moulian Rouge! The Musical)'의 97.19%,  '식스(Six)'의 97.1%, '하데스타운(Hadestown)의 95.02%, '해밀턴(Hamilton)'의 94.82%에 이은 좋은 성적이다.

10월 13일 프리뷰를 시작한 'KPop'의 11월 20일까지 37회 공연에서 총 입장료 수입은 95만3천709달러, 1회 공연 평균 수입은 15만8천952 달러다.  평균 티켓가는 48달러 28센트(최고가 $229.50), 관람객수 2만1천1명, 총 객석수 2만5천419석으로 객석 점유율은 83.30%를 기록했다. 

 

브로드웨이 극장은 객석 500석 이상이며 41개다. 최대 객석 보유극장은 거쉰 시어터(1,935석, '위키드' 공연 중)이며, 최소 극장은 헬렌 헤이즈 시어터(597석)으로 사무엘 J. 프리드만 시어터(650석)에 이어 서클 인더 스퀘어(776석)는 객석 수가 적은 편이다.

KPOP on Broadway 

 

'KPOP"의 극본은 제이슨 김(김준혁), 작사-작곡은 헬렌 박과 맥스 버논, 안무는 제니퍼 웨버, 연출은 테디 버그만이 맡았으며, 아이돌 그룹 f(x) 출신 루나(Luna),  유키스(U-KISS) 출신 케빈, 미쓰에이(miss A) 출신 민, 스피카(SPICA) 출신 김보형이 출연한다. 뮤지컬 'KPOP'은 11월 20일 공식 개막될 예정이었으나 27일로 연기됐다. https://www.kpopbroadway.com

 

주간 흥행 1위는 250만 달러의 입장료 수입을 거둔 휴 잭맨과 서튼 포스터 주연의 리바이벌 뮤지컬 '뮤직맨(The Music Man)'이 기록했다.
