CVS Health, Rite Aid, Target Up&Up, Leader(Cardinal Health), Rugby(Cardinal Health) 및 Velocity Pharma 등의 매장 브랜드로 판매되는 안약 등 26가지 일반 점안액이 심각한 안구 감염을 유발해 시력 상실이나 실명을 초래할 수 있다고 연방 식품의약국(FDA)이 경고했다. Target, Rite Aid 및 CVS는 문제 안약을 진열대에서 제거하고 온라인 판매를 중단할 예정이다.
