할리우드 배우 덴젤 워싱턴(Denzel Washington)과 제이크 질렌할(Jake Gyllenhaal)이 2025년 봄 브로드웨이 무대에 올려질 셰익스피어 비극 '오델로(Othello)'에 캐스팅됐다. 질렌할이 오델로 역으로, 워싱턴은 이아고 역으로 출연한다. 연출은 케니 레온(Kenny Leon)이 맡는다. 덴젤 워싱턴은 2018년 브로드웨이 리바이벌 연극 '아이스맨 코메스(The Iceman Cometh)'에 출연했으며, 제이크 질렌할은 2015년 'Constellations'으로 브로드웨이에 데뷔한 후 2017년 '일요일 공원에서 조지와(Sunday in the Park With George)'에 출연했다. '오델로'는 1982년 제임스 얼 존스(James Earl Jones)와 크리스토퍼 플러머(Christopher Plummer) 주연으로 브로드웨이에 공연된 바 있다.
