엠넷 보이그룹 오디션 프로그램 '프로듀스 101' 시즌 2에 출연했던 배우 이지한(24)이 이태원 압사 참사로 사망했다. 그리고 치어리더 김유나(24)도 ㅇ번 사고로 목숨을 잃었다.

또한, 미 연방하원의원 브래드 웬스트럽(Brad Wenstrup, 오하이오주, 공화당)의 조카 앤 마리 기스케(Anne Marie Gieske, 켄터키대 간호학과)도 사망자로 확인됐다. 조지아주 케네소 주립대 재학생 스티븐 블레시(Steve Blesi)도 숨을 거두었다. 이들은 한양대 교환학생으로 밝혀졌다.  

이태원 참사로 사망자는 155명(여 100명, 남 55명, 외국인 26명), 부상자 152명으로 집계됐다. 이중 20대가 103명(66.4%), 10대가 12명(7.7%), 30대는 31명(20%)로 알려졌다.
