레오나르도 다 빈치 머리채 DNA 검사

레오나르도 다 빈치의 사망 500주기를 맞아 이탈리아에서 그의 머리채 진위여부 DNA 검사를 할 계획이라고 영국의 가디언지가 보도했다. 미국인이 소장하고 있던 이 머리채는 레오나르도의 고향 빈치의 레오나르도 다 빈치 뮤지엄에서 열리는 특별전에 처음 공개될 예정이다. 레이블은 '레오나르도 다 빈치의 머리카락(Les Cheveux de Leonardo da Vinci).
레오나르도는 1519년 5월 2일 프랑스 루아르 밸리에서 사망 후 샤토 앙부아즈의 생 플로랑탱 교회당에 묻였었다. 그런데, 프랑스 혁명 당시 유해가 작은 예배당 생 위베르로 이동된 것으로 알려졌다.
하지만, 유해의 진위 여부는 불확실한 상태다. 1452년 이탈리아 빈치에서 사생아로 태어난 레오나르도는 독신으로 살다가서 직계 후손이 없다.
