게리 마샬(프리티 우먼) 감독, 베트 미들러와 바바라 허쉬가 주연했던 영화 '비치스(Beaches, 1988)'이 브로드웨이에 입성한다. 'Beaches, A New Musical'는 오는 3월 27일 머제스티 시어터에서 프리뷰에 들어가며, 4월 22일 공식 오픈한다. 

원작은 아이리스 R. 다트(Iris R. Dart)의 동명 소설(1985)로 브로드웨이 스타 씨씨 블룸과 인권 변호사 버티 화이트의 30년 우정을 다룬 작품이다. 베트 미들러가 부른 주제가 "WInd Beneath My Wings"가 히트했다. 

뮤지컬 버전은 아이리스 R. 다트(작사, 극본)와 톰 토마스의 극본, 마이크 스톨러의 작곡으로 로니 프라이스가 연출한다. 주연은 제시카 보스크(Jessica Vosk)와 켈리 바레트(Kelli Barrett)가 맡는다.
