2026년 1월 23일 금요일 해가 진 직후 남서쪽 하늘을 보시라. 초승달 근처에서 희미한 별을 찾아보시라. 바로 토성이다. 달이 토성 옆을 지나가며 물고기 자리에 해왕성(넵튠)이 위치해 삼각형을 이루면서 스마일을 형성할 것으로 전망된다. 맨눈보다 쌍안경이나 망원경으로 보면 더 좋다. 달은 보름달의 21% 밝기인 초승달이며, 토성은 밝기 1등급, 20억 마일 떨어진 해왕성은 7.8 등급으로 좀 어둡다.
뉴욕에서 일몰은 오후 5시 2분경. 오후 5시 20분부터 6시까지 관측할 수 있다.
