뉴욕필하모닉이 1월 25일 처음으로 록펠러센터 라디오시티뮤직홀(Radio City Music Hall, 6천석)에서 특별 콘서트를 연다. 구스타보 두다멜 음악감독의 지휘로 뉴욕필은 라디오시티뮤직홀의 새 오디오 시스템인 스피어 이머시브 사운드(Sphere Immersive Sound)를 활용할 예정이다. 프로그램은 차이코프스키의 '백조의 호수'중 "왈츠", 요제프 슈트라우스의 "겨울의 즐거움 폴카(Winterlust Polka)", 요한 스트라우스 주니어의 "아름답고 푸른 도나우", 버나드 허먼 작곡, 마틴 스콜세지 감독 '택시 드라이버' 중 'A Night Piece', 레너드 번스타인 작곡 뮤지컬 'On the Town' 중 "Times Square: 1944", 제시 몽고메리 작곡 "Strum", 그리고 조지 거쉰 작곡 '파리의 미국인(An AMerican in Paris)" 등을 연주할 예정이다. 티켓 $99-$353.

Experience the New York Philharmonic, for one night only, on January 25 at Radio City Music Hall – now the best sounding theater in the world! Led by world-renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel, this event will be the first concert to utilize Radio City’s groundbreaking new audio system – Sphere Immersive Sound.

The program will feature wide-ranging works including Gershwin’s An American in Paris, a waltz from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Strauss’s Blue Danube, the Overture from Bernstein’s Wonderful Town, and Jessie Montgomery’s Strum.
