2022 프리츠커상을 수상한 부르키나파소 출신 건축가 프란시스 케레(Francis Kéré)가 설계한 라스베가스 미술관(LVMA, Las Vegas Museum of Art의 설계도가 공개됐다. 

2029년 다운타운 심포니파크에 개관될 4층 규모의 LVMA은 모하비 사막의 경관과 도시의 모더니즘 건축에서 영감을 받아 설계됐다. 인근 레드록 산맥에서 채취한 돌로 모자이크 외관을 형성하고, 그늘진 현관과 빛으로 가득한 아트리움을 지나면 협곡을 연상시키는 웅장한 계단이 나타난다. 케레의 작품에서 공동체와 화합을 상징하는 바오밥 나무도 디자인에 반영됐다.

LVMA는 로스앤젤레스카운티미술관(LACMA)과의 파트너십을 통해 설립되었으며, LACMA 소장품을 전시할 예정이다.
