2013년 아시안 최초의 유대인 랍비(뉴욕 센트럴 시나고그)로 임명된 안젤라 북달(Angela Buchdah, 53)이 회고록 'Heart of a Stranger: An Unlikely Rabbi's Story of Faith, Identity, and Belonging'을 10월 21일 출간한다. 

안젤라 북달 랍비는 1972년 서울에서 아슈케나지 개혁 유대교도인 프레데릭 데이비드 워닉씨와 불교 신자 설자 워닉씨 사이에서 태어나 5살 때 워싱턴주 타코마로 이주해 성장했다. 예일대에서 종교학을 전공한 후 뉴욕의 헤브루 유니온칼리지에서 수학했다. 2014년 센트럴시나고그 최초의 여성이자 최초의 아시안아메리칸 랍비가 되었다.
