지난 7월 30일 오후 5시 26분경 맨해튼 미트패킹디스트릭트의 휘트니뮤지엄(Whitney Museum of American Art) 건물에서 신원 미상의 남자(34세)가 추락해 현장(Gansevoort and Washington Streets)에서 사망했다. 뉴욕 검시관실은 사망원인을 조사 중이다. 

스캇 로스코프 (Scott Rothkopf) 휘트니뮤지엄 관장은 31일 평소(오전 10시 30분)보다 늦은 정오에 개관한다고 밝혔다. 미국 작가를 소개해온 휘트니뮤지엄은 2024년 89만명이 방문했다.

Man Dies After Apparent Fall From Whitney Museum

The 34-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene on Wednesday afternoon, the police said. The museum said it would be closed on Thursday.
