소프라노 르네 플레밍(Renée Fleming, 66)이 콜로라도 아스펜음악제 '여자는 다 그래(Così Fan Tutte, 코지 판 투테)'의 연출가로 데뷔한다. 7월 21, 23, 26일 휠러오페라하우스에서 공연될 모차르트 작곡 코믹 오페라 '여자는 다 그래'에는 테너 박종현(Jonghyun Park)이 군인 페란도로 출연한다. 르네 플레밍은 2018년 브로드웨이 리바이벌 뮤지컬 '카루셀(Carousel)'로 토니상 후보에 올랐었다. 한편, 테너 롤란도 비야손(Rolando Villazón)은 올 가을 메트로폴리탄오페라의 '몽유병의 여인(La Sonnambula)' 연출을 맡았다. 메조소프라노 데니스 그레이브스(Denyce Graves)는 내년 워싱턴국립오페라의 '트리모니샤(Treemonisha)'를 연출할 예정이다.

Opera luminary Renée Fleming directs rising stars from the Aspen Opera Theater and VocalARTS program in Mozart's sublime — and some may say ridiculous — sex farce. See what unfolds when an old cynic makes a bet with two younger friends that their fiancées will be unfaithful. The plot may seem silly on its face, but through the genius of Mozart's music and DaPonte's libretto, you may discover deeper meanings and questions about the nature of love, the conflict between reason and emotion, and the consequences of idealizing others. Hear some of the most exquisite music ever written for the opera stage in the intimate and historic Wheeler Opera House!
