펜실베니아주 레딩의 올브라이트대학교(Albright University)가 2천만 달러 예산 부족으로 소장 미술품 500여점 판매를 추진중이다. 7월 16일 온라인 경매사 푹앤푹(Pook & Pook)에는 대학 이름 대신 '동부해안 교육기관의 미술품(Fine Art from an East Coast Educational Institution)'을 제목으로 종이작품 524점을 내놓았다. 올브라이트대는 재스퍼 존스, 제이콥 로렌스, 마리솔, 브리짓 라일리, 고든 파크스, 헤수스 라파엘 소토, 카렐 아펠 등의 작품을 소장해왔다. 소장 작품의 총 가치는 2천만 달러로 추정된다. 관리비용과 미술관 운영비는 연간 50만 달러로 알려졌다. 

올브라이트대 뿐만 아니라 브랜다이스대(Brandeis), 피스크대(Fisk), 랜돌프대(Randolph), 발파라이소대(Valparaiso), 밀스대(Mills), 록퍼드대(Rockford) 등지에서도 최근 재정문제를 해결하기 위해 소장 미술품을 판매했다. 2016년 이후 재정난으로 폐교한 기관은 필라델피아예술대, 로즈몬드대, 피츠버그기술대, 키스톤대 등 펜주에서만 10개교에 달한다.
