한국의 쇼콰이어(showchoir) 그룹 하모나이즈(Harmonize)가 4월 21일 오후 7시 맨해튼 브로드웨이 극장가의 명물 레스토랑 엘렌즈 스타더스트 다이너(Ellen’s Stardust Diner), 1650 Broadway @51st St.)에서 팝업 공연을 한다.  하모나이즈는 이날 2곡을 선사할 예정이다. Show와 Choir를 합성한 쇼콰이어(일명 'swing choir')는 합창과 안무를 결합한 음악 앙상블이다. 미국에선 TV 뮤지컬 드라마 '글리(Glee)'를 통해 대중화됐다. 2013년 창단된 하모나이즈는 2016년 제9회 세계합창올림픽 쇼콰이어 부분과 팝 앙상블 부분에서 금메달과 그랑프리를 수상했다.

HARMONIZE is a 21-member professional show choir from South Korea known for dynamic renditions of musical theater hits. Their viral performances of “This Is Me,” “Circle of Life” and “Defying Gravity” have captivated audiences across Korea and the world. The group has won 4 gold medals at the World Choir Games.  

Note that HARMONIZE will dine at Ellen’s from 7 to 9 p.m. and will perform two songs during their visit.
