1996 Moët & Chandon Champagne Brut Rosé Champagne Blend 

WineOp: 진한 청동빛장미색, 적당한 발포와 눈에 띄는 단맛, 잘익은 과일맛, 산도가 낮으며, 당도도 확실히 낮다. 이 샴페인은 온도가 콘트롤되는 와인 저장고에서 20년간 보관한 후에도 여전히 좋은 상태였다. 코크에 미세한 크리스탈(설탕?) 잔류가 있었다. 3일간 맛을 보았는데, 계속 신선도가 유지됐다. 92점.

2012 Château des Tours Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend

WineOp: 나의 마지막 한병. 샤토데투르(그리고, 현재 출시된 가격을 감안할 때 나 마지막이 될듯 하다. 좋긴했지만, 가격이 1/3 정도인 르뷰 돈존 샤토뇌프뒤파프(Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf-du-Pape)나 페고 퀴베 리버비 샤토뇌프뒤파프(Pegau Cuvee Reservee Chateauneuf du Pape)만큼 만족스럽지는 않았다. 이 샤토데투르 코트뒤론(Chateau des Tours CDR)은 처음 오픈했을 때 불쾌한 오크향이 진했지만, 1시간 동안 디캔팅하니 서서히 진화해 상당히 좋았다. 훨씬 더 긴 디캔팅을 추천한다. 91점.

2016 Kistler Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse Russian River Valley

WineOp:미묘하고, 복잡하며, 구조감이 좋고, 매력적인 (캘리포니아 나파밸리)의 키슬러 샤도네이. 모든 요소가 제자리에 있으며, 앞으로 풍부한 삶이 기다린다. 발매와 동시에 와이너리에서 구입했다. 그린마켓에서 구입한 신선한 가자미(flounder)와 마셨다. 94점.

#1 1996 Moët & Chandon Champagne Brut Rosé Champagne Blend 

Options 5/3/2022 - 92 points 

Deep copper rose color, moderate effervescence, noticeable sweetness, mature fruit, very little acidity, definitely a throwback in terms of dosage. This was still in very good condition after cellaring in temperature controlled storage for two decades. Cork had residue of very fine crystals (sugar?). Tasted over three days, and it continued to hold up, and was refreshing.

My one remaining bottle of Chateau des Tours (and given the price of current releases, likely my last. While good, it was not nearly as good as Le Vieux Donjon or Pegau Cuvee Reservee Chateauneuf du Pape, which cost 1/3 the price). This Chateau des Tours CDR was dominated by overwhelming, off-putting oak at first, but the wine opened up and evolved with an hour of decanting and was quite good. Would recommend a much longer decant.

Nuanced, complex, structured, engaging Kistler chardonnay, all the elements in place, with plenty of life ahead. Purchased from winery on release. Enjoyed with fresh flounder.
