LA의 노키아시어터에서 열렸다.
타일러 스위프트의 오프닝으로 시작한 그래미상 시상식은 L. L. 쿨 제이의 사회로 진행됐으며, 대부분의 출연자들은 보수적인 패션으로
무대에 올랐다.
제 55회 그래미 시상식에선 스팅, 엘튼 존에서 저스틴 팀버레이크, 켈리 클락슨, 리한나 등이 노래했으며, 레게의 전설 밥 말리에게 헌사하는
공연도 마련됐다.
