브루클린 선셋파크에 사는 중국계 이민자 리용 예(47)이 23일 망치로 룸메이트 자오자오(43)씨를 살해하고, 그녀의 아들(5)과 딸(3)에 중상을 입혀 살인, 살인 미수 및 무기소지 혐의로 체포됐다. 뉴욕타임스에 따르면, 이들은 브루클린의 차이나타운인 선셋파크의 3베드룸 아파트(5th Avenue and 52nd St.)에서 방 하나씩을 나누어 살았다. 혐의자 리용 예는 자신의 9세 아들과 한 방을 쓰고 있었다. 자오씨의 남편은 오하이오주에서 일하는 것으로 알져졌다.
