뉴욕타임스가 미 50개주에서 의류매장 베스트 50을 선정했다. 맨해튼에서 트라이베카의 더 아모리(The Armoury)와 라 가르손느(La Garçonne), 소호의 블루 인 그린(Blue in Green), 노호의 C’H’C’M’, 브루클린 덤보의 프론트 제너럴 스토어(Front General Store), 맨해셋의 허쉬레이퍼스(Hirshleifers), 그리고 뉴저지에선 레인(Reign)이 뽑혔다. 

 

선정 기준은 재고, 큐레이션, 소유권, 고객 서비스, 분위기, 위치, 그리고 수익성 등으로 후보 120여개를 추린 후 NYT 스타일 섹션 기자, 편집자 11명으로 구성된 팀이 대부분의 매장을 방문해 심사했다.
