'어쩔수가없다'는 뮤지컬·코미디 부문 최우수 작품상 후보로 '블루 문', '부고니아', '마티 수프림', '누벨 바그', 그리고, '원 배틀 애프터 어나더'와 경합을 벌이게 된다. 이 영화의 주연 이병헌은 뮤지컬·코미디 부문 남우주연상 후보로 티모시 샬라메(마티 수프림), 레오나르도 디카프리오(원 배틀 애프터 어나더) , 에단 호크(블루 문), 제씨 플레몬스(*커스틴 던스트 남편, 부고니아)와 경쟁하게 됐다. 빌보드 글로벌 차트 200에서 17주간 1위를 차지한 헌트릭스의 주제가 '골든'은 'Dream as One'(아바타3), 'I lied to You'(씨너즈), 'No Place Like Home'와 'The Girl in the Bubble'(위키드), 그리고 'Train Dreams'(트레인 트림즈)와 경쟁을 벌이게 됐다.
