한가로운 오전에 클래식을 저렴하게 감상할 수 있는 방법 중의 하나가 뉴욕필하모닉의 오픈 리허설이다. 뉴욕필과 협연한 예브게니 키신.

▶오픈 리허설

뉴욕필은 정기 시즌 수요일이나 목요일 아침 당일 콘서트 리허설을 개방한다.

오전 9시45분부터 오후 1시 전후로 끝나는 ‘오픈 리허설(Open Rehearsal)’ 티켓은 $18. 음악학도, 저녁 시간이 바쁜 주부들에게 인기있다.

오픈 리허설에서 단원들은 캐주얼한 옷을 입고, 지휘자 들고 평상복 차림으로 지휘봉을 잡는다. 뉴욕필이 공연을 위해 어떻게 연습하는

지 그 과정을 보면서 음악 지식도 키울 수 있다.

홈페이지에서 좋아하는 곡이나 솔로이스트를 찾아서 콘서트 당일 에버리피셔홀 박스오피스나 인터넷•전화•팩스•우편으로 구매한다.

Open Rehearsals begin at 9:45 AM (except where noted) in Avery Fisher Hall, and end at approximately 12:30 PM (sometimes extending to 1 PM, at the discretion of the conductor).

An Open Rehearsal is a fascinating opportunity to watch the New York Philharmonic at work, and see how a piece of music is shaped and polished by the conductor and the musicians. Tickets are $18 each and an be ordered online, by phone, by mail, by fax, or in person at the Avery Fisher Hall Box Office. Please note there is a $2.00 per ticket handling fee for all online and phone orders.
