NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC OPEN REHEARSAL 
SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 4 at 9:45 AM IS CANCELLED

The New York Philharmonic’s Open Rehearsal scheduled to take place Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 9:45 a.m. is cancelled due to a change in the rehearsal schedule, which was impacted by predicted winter weather. The concert taking place that evening at 7:30 p.m. at David Geffen Hall will go on as scheduled. Refunds for the Open Rehearsal will be issued to the original method of payment within seven to ten business days. The concert will feature Jeffrey Kahane conducting Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 17 from the piano; Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, with cellist Alisa Weilerstein as soloist; and Haydn’s Symphony No. 98, which Mr. Kahane will lead from the fortepiano. Additional performances take place on Friday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6 at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, January 9 at 7:30 p.m. at David Geffen Hall.

The New York Philharmonic’s next Open Rehearsal will take place Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 9:45 a.m., featuring the New York Concert Premiere of The Marie-Josée Kravis Composer-in-Residence Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Helix, conducted by Susanna Mälkki. Ms. Mälkki will also conduct Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, with Baiba Skride as soloist, and Debussy’s La Mer. More information is available at nyphil.org/openrehearsals.
