6월 11일 맨해튼 라디오시티뮤직홀에서 제 71회 토니상 시상식이 열렸다. 뮤지컬 '친애하는 에반 핸슨(Dear Evan Hansen)'이 제 71회 토니상 최우수 뮤지컬상을 비롯 남우주연상, 여우조연상, 최우수 작곡상 등 6개 부문을 석권했다. '친애하는 에반 핸슨'은 사회불안증세를 보이는 고등학교 남학생이 친구의 죽음 이후 황당한 거짓말에 연루되어 인생이 변하는 이야기를 그린 작품이다. 배우 케빈 스페이시의 사회로 진행된 2017 토니상 시상식 결과.
