The group is made up of some of the finest young professional musicians from across the country, who are taking part in a two-year fellowship created by Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education.

Beginning with the purchase of an old U-Haul, Yellow Barn's team devised a self-contained, traveling concert venue called ‘Music Haul’ to bring music to people everywhere. Designed for as many as six musicians, it is fully-equipped with interior and exterior performance spaces, a high quality internal / external sound system, video capabilities, and climate-controlled passenger and storage areas, including storage for percussion, string instruments, and a piano.
