Celebrate Mother's day (FREE for mothers) with a chamber opera about a Korean tradition where Korean women, post- birth, are given seaweed soup which is prepared by their own mother, and believed to assist in recovery. This story, composed by Jeeyoung Kim and libretto written by Janine Joseph, deals with love and reconciliation through one mother providing something to help her daughter, only to face rejection. Performance in English with English and Korean subtitles.
